Lockouts

What should I do if I am locked out?

Check other doors, windows left on the latch and anyone who holds a spare. If that fails, call 02 8530 6166 with your suburb, the type of door and whether anything urgent is inside. If someone is in danger, call 000 first.

Can you get me in without damaging the lock?

Most standard residential locks can be opened with non-destructive entry. High-security or damaged locks sometimes need drilling, and we always explain and agree the cost first.

Do I need to prove I live there?

Yes. Once the door is open we ask for reasonable proof, such as a driver licence with the address, a lease or a bill. It protects you and your neighbours.

What if my key snapped in the lock?

We extract the broken piece where possible and open the door. If the lock is damaged, we can replace it on the spot.

Locks and security

What is the single best security upgrade for a house?

For most homes, a properly installed deadlock on the main doors, with the strike plate screwed into the frame stud, followed by keyed locks on rear windows and sliding doors.

Are keypad and smart locks safe?

A reputable smart lock fitted properly is as secure as a quality conventional deadlock. Choose a known brand, keep it updated and use codes nobody can guess.

Can all my locks use one key?

Usually, yes. New locks can be keyed alike so one key opens front, back and side doors, and the security screen door.

Do I need deadlocks for insurance?

Some insurers ask about deadlocks and window locks. Read your policy wording, and we can fit what it asks for.

Renting, strata and business

Can a tenant change the locks in NSW?

NSW tenancy law sets out when locks can be changed and usually requires a copy of the new key to be given to the other party. Check NSW Fair Trading guidance and talk to your agent first.

Do you work for real estate agents and landlords?

Yes. We change locks between tenancies and arrange key handover with the property manager.

Can I change the lock on my apartment entry door?

Often, but check your strata by-laws first, especially if the door is fire-rated. We can help you choose a compliant lock.

Can you work on my shop after closing time?

Yes. Our hours run until 2am, so commercial jobs can be done after trade.

Hours, prices and paying

What are your hours?

11am to 2am, every day of the week.

How do you price jobs?
