Most lockouts happen in the evening. Brays Concord Locksmith works from 11am until 2am every day of the week, so you get a local locksmith when the day-time businesses have gone home.
Why our hours run late
Brays Concord Locksmith starts at 11am and keeps going until 2am, seven days a week. That timetable is deliberate. A day-time locksmith is easy to find. Finding one at 10:30 on a Friday night, or after midnight on a Sunday, is much harder.
The jobs we see late at night are rarely planned:
- Locked out after dinner or after a late shift
- Keys lost on a night out in Burwood, Strathfield or Five Dock
- A front door that will not lock as you are heading to bed
- A break-in discovered on returning home
- A shop door that will not secure at closing time
After a break-in
If you come home to a forced door or window, call the police first and do not touch anything they may need to see. Once the police are finished, call us to secure the property so you can sleep that night.
We repair or replace damaged locks, fit temporary measures where a door frame needs a carpenter, and advise on what to upgrade so the same entry point is harder to use again.
The hours most locksmiths go home are the hours we start getting busy.
Dinner, late shifts, the last train home, a night out in Burwood. The calls pile up after dark, so that is when we are on the road.
What late-night jobs cost
Late-night work generally costs more than a mid-afternoon visit, which is true of most trades. We do not hide that. When you call, we tell you what the job is likely to cost at that hour before we drive out, so you can decide whether it needs doing now or can wait until the morning.
If a problem can safely wait, for example a lock that is stiff but still working, we will tell you, and book you in for the next day instead.
When we are closed
Between 2am and 11am our phone is off. If you need help in those hours and anyone is in danger, call 000. Otherwise, email Brays@braysconcordlocksmithsydney.com with your suburb and the problem, and we reply when we open at 11am.

We work most public holidays during our usual hours. Call to confirm on the day.
Is it more expensive after hours?
Late-night work can cost more than day-time work. We quote before we drive out so you can decide.
Can you secure my home after a break-in late at night?
Yes. Once police have finished, we repair or replace damaged locks so the property can be secured that night.
What if I need help between 2am and 11am?
Our phone is off between 2am and 11am. In an emergency call 000. Otherwise email us and we will respond when we open.
